Among the engineering plastics, polyamides (PA) are certainly the best known and most widely used plastics. They are usually semi-crystalline thermoplastics with good strength, toughness and hardness and used in many different applications.
The semi-finished products can be manufactured in two different processes: extrusion (E) or casting process (G). For technical components POLYTRON uses both extruded and also molded polyamide grades. In addition, there are different types of each quality that are optimized for certain areas of application.
