POLYAMIDE 4.6
Polyamide 4.6
Polyamide 4.6 (PA 4.6) is made from the original DSM® raw material STANYL®, a temperature-resistant, semi-crystalline polyamide. In contrast to the other PA grades PA 4.6 has a much higher melting point and a higher degree of crystallization.
PA 4.6 maintains its stiffness and creep resistance over a wide temperature range and is therefore suitable for applications at higher temperatures. The material has a relatively high coefficient of friction, and is therefore only conditionally recommended for sliding applications.
Main features
- balanced mechanical properties
- higher heat aging resistance
- heat resistant up to 160° C
The type listed below is available as standard. Further special qualities and color variants are available on request, but usually bound with minimum order quantities.
