POLYTRON PSU 1000
Polytron PSU 1000
Polysulfone (PSU) is an amorphous thermoplastic with good hydrolysis resistance and an continuous operating temperature of 150°C. Compared to the other polyarylsulfones (PES, PPSU) PSU 1000 has the poorest property profile and is therefore often used as a substitute for polycarbonate (PC) when, for example, higher temperature and better hydrolysis resistance are required. The material is mainly used for food and medical technology components.
Main features
- good hydrolysis resistance
- good transparency
- heat deflection temperature 170°C
POLYTRON PSU 1000 is yellow-transparent, and with a value of 85% it shows the highest light transmission of all high-performance plastics.
