Material selection
Castors, rollers and all types of wheels are an extremely wide field of application. In addition to running, transport and guide rollers, it is often also rope pulleys, toothed or drive wheels that are to be made of plastics.

As already described, the good damping properties of plastics are a major reason for their use as castors and wheels. In this respect, the plastics which are characterised by good toughness, elasticity and resilience are mainly used.
In addition to these mostly basic requirements when searching for a suitable plastic for the application, there are a lot of very specific influencing factors that have to be taken into account when selecting the material.
The conditions of use sometimes differ drastically, although the construction elements are "only" wheels or castors. We therefore strongly recommend a comprehensive application analysis at the end of which a corresponding material recommendation should be made.
